Benson Guy Stutler Jr., 90, of Vienna, passed away Dec. 6, 2012, at Eagle Pointe Nursing Facility in Parkersburg.
He was born March 4, 1922, in Reedy, W.Va., a son of the late Benson G. Stutler Sr. and Amy Duskey Stutler.
He was a U.S. Marine, having served in both World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was an independent contractor building houses, was a real estate broker and owner of Stutler Realty. He loved gospel music, and was a member of Calvary Memorial Church.
He is survived by his son, Terry M. Stutler (Sue) of Vienna, W.Va.; a sister, Eva Strothers, also of Vienna, W.Va.; a brother, Wendell Stutler of Vienna, W.Va.; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Benson was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma I. Williams Stutler; a son, Benny R. Stutler; and two daughters, Nancy Brohard and Penny Frazee.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, W.Va., with Pastor Tim Stutler officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Monday. Military rights will be conducted by American Legion Post 15 at the funeral home.
