Children’s musician Roger Day will be performing next week at Franklin Elementary Center.
"He'll be giving them clues about how the process goes, and it will be intermingled with his songs," she said. "In the afternoon he will perform his regular concert, the 'Shake Up Your Brain' concert."
Beckett said Day's performance was made possible through a state school improvement grant.
"We use grant money to bring in artists and authors to encourage students in areas of writing and reading," she said. Day "is just one of many we are bringing in this year."
