Haught facing uttering charge

PARKERSBURG - A woman accused of felony uttering was arrested by the Parkersburg Police Department, the agency said on Monday.

Juanita Haught, 23, 2811 29th St., Parkersburg, was arrested by uniformed officers and is accused of uttering a check on the Discover account of a victim for $675.34 at the Mountain Heritage Federal Credit Union, Sgt. Greg Collins said. The account was not active and Mountain was unable to get reimbursement for the money, he said.

Haught was not authorized by the victim to possess or cash the check on the closed account, Collins said.

She was arraigned in Wood County Magistrate Court and released on $1,500 bond.
