The audacity of the Virginia bishop, as reported in your Nov. 24 newspaper, who fired the priest and stopped a blended Holy Communion service, stating the participating entities must conduct the service separately. Such actions set back ecumenism, causing some to say "man has taken Christ out of Christianity and substituted church, making for Churchanity."
Holy Communion, a simple meal among Christ and his disciples has been made so divisive by man. The Christ I find in the New Testament is always inclusive, not exclusive. He received people from all walks of life, even a Samaritan woman who, in today's terms, would be like a Christian receiving an Arab or vice-versa.
As I interpret the Bible, God made one Adam, hence preventing you and me from saying, "My Father is better than yours."
