WHEELING, W.Va. (AP) - Brandon Spurlock rushed for 144 yards and three touchdowns as No. 1 seed Wayne shut out No. 2 Keyser 35-0 for its second straight Class AA championship Friday night at Wheeling Island Stadium.
Grant Ferguson completed 3 of 5 passes for 43 yards and two touchdowns for Wayne (14-0), with both scoring tosses coming on fourth-and-long. He also ran for 61 yards.
Keyser (12-2) was held to 92 yards of total offense, including 31 in the first half. The Golden Tornado entered the game averaging 51 points and 502 yards.

It marked the first Class AA title-game shutout since 2005, when Weir beat Bluefield 40-0.
It was the fourth shutout this season for the Pioneers' defense, including the third in a row. The Pioneers have won three Class AA titles since 2006.
Keyser was seeking its first state title since 1969 and fourth overall.

Keyser didn't cross midfield or pick up its initial first down until the 11:33 mark of the second quarter. The Golden Tornado went three and out in each of their first three possessions, and were plagued by penalties throughout the game.
Spurlock also was the hero of last year's championship game, when he ran for 197 yards and three scores in a 34-7 win over Point Pleasant. He sat out a semifinal win over Robert C. Byrd due to a leg injury.
Wayne has now defeated the Golden Tornado in each of the last four seasons, including a 38-8 win in the 2011 quarterfinals.
