D'Ann Himes, 61, of Culloden, went to be with the Lord on Nov. 27, 2012, in the Hubbard Hospice House, following a long illness.
She was born Aug. 2, 1951 in Upshur County, a daughter of the late Robert and Charlene Davidson Gay.
Surviving is her husband of 38 years, Thomas Himes of Culloden; a daughter, Alison Stone and husband Chad, Eleanor, W.Va.; a granddaughter, Rylee Stone; and step-grandson, Treyton Stone.
D'Ann was a graduate of Sistersville High School and Morris Harvey College, where she received a degree in nursing. She was a nurse for Mountain State Blue Cross Blue Shield prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church at Teays Valley. She loved her family, her dog Reece and especially loved spending time with her granddaughter Rylee, who was her pride and joy.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John's United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Martin Hallett officiating. Interment will follow in Valley View Memorial Park. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Allen Funeral Home in Hurricane, W.Va.
