Michael J. Nazelrod, 56, of St. Marys, husband of Vicki E. Hall Nazelrod for 37 years, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on Feb. 21, 1956 in Parkersburg, W.Va., he was a son of Paul C. and Wilma Jean Arnett Nazelrod. Mike was a 1974 graduate of St. Marys High School where he was a drummer in the Blue Devil Marching Band, and was a chemical operator, crane operator and mechanic for Momenitve for 36 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in St. Marys where he had served as a trustee. He enjoyed spending time with his family, grandkids and traveling.
Survivors other than his wife and parents, include one son, Joseph Brock Nazelrod and his wife Jamie (Full) of Parkersburg; one daughter, Terri Lee Parks and husband Darren of St. Marys; four grandchildren, Izaiah Brock Nazelrod, Addison Grace Parks, Desmon Lee Parks and Elijah J. Nazelrod; and one brother, Kenny Nazelrod. He was preceded in death by a sister, Diane Evick; and an infant brother, Paul C. Nazelrod Jr.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, with Pastor John Strimer and Jerry Murphy officiating. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, and 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
