Sayers was discovered after a witness called 911. He was transported to Camden Clark Medical Center.
McCumbers was arraigned in Wood County Magistrate Court Wednesday afternoon and was being held on a $10,000 bond.
He is set to be transported to the North Central Regional Jail.
If convicted, police said, he could face two to 10 years in prison.
