Ethan Glen Poole and Margaret Jean Reed Poole of Parkersburg will celebrate their 50th anniversary today, Nov. 18. Friends are invited to share in their celebration at an open house reception (cards only) today, Nov. 18, from 2-4 p.m. at the Grand Central Church of Christ fellowship hall, 5805 Grand Central Ave., Vienna.
Ethan is the son of the late Howard and Iva Poole of Pennsboro. Ethan retired from Hope Natural Gas Company in 1993 and owned and operated The Pennsboro Roller Rink for 26 years. He continues to work in his landscaping business.
Jean is the daughter of the late Minnie and Woodrow Reed of Parkersburg. Jean worked as an X-ray technologist at Camden Clark Medical Center before retiring to raise their two sons, Ethan Allan Poole (Denise) of St. Albans, W.Va., and Eric Glen Poole (Anne) of Parkersburg.
The anniversary couple has four grandchildren, Trace Allen Poole, Allie Nicole Poole, Meredith Lauren Poole and Allison Grace Poole.
The Pooles have enjoyed many activities over the years, such as church activities, sky diving, ocean cruises, fishing and golfing (Jean).
