Galloway was later taken to Ruby Memorial, where he died at 3:10 p.m. Sunday.
McFee was treated and released from Camden Clark Medical Center.
According to a criminal complaint filed in magistrate court, on Sunday McFee was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Malibu that crashed into a tree in the 1900 block of Nicolette Road.
Deputies said McFee was traveling east and had just negotiated a left hand bend in the road, and lost control going into a yaw. The vehicle continued onto the eastbound berm, striking a tree head-on.
McFee and Galloway were located in a residence at 1906 Nicolette Road when deputies arrived.
McFee indicated to the deputies he was driving. Deputies said they noticed an odor of alcohol on McFee's breath and he had slurred and slow speech.
A reconstruction of the crash determined a minimum speed of the vehicle was 40 mph in a 25 mph zone, police said.
