Woman dies at CCMC after single-vehicle accident

LITTLE HOCKING - A Little Hocking woman died on Friday from injuries in a one-vehicle accident Thursday on U.S. 50 near Little Hocking, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.

Brittany N. Dicken, 27, Houston Road, died at Camden Clark Medical Center on Friday, the patrol said.

Dicken was driving west on U.S. 50 near milepost 7 where she went off the road into the grass median and into the eastbound lane, the patrol said. She overcorrected, rolled over into the median and was ejected from the 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer, the patrol said.

The vehicle came to rest in the westbound lane against a guardrail, the patrol said.

Dicken was not wearing a seatbelt, the patrol said.

The accident happened shortly before 7 p.m. Thursday. The accident remains under investigation and witnesses can call the patrol at 740-374-6616, the patrol said.

Little Hocking fire and EMS crews responded.
