Martha Jewell Baker Finfrock, 85, of Belpre, passed away on Nov. 1, 2012, at the Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.
She was born in Huntington, W.Va., a daughter of the late Charles Westly and Dusia Opal Deskins Baker. She enjoyed needlework, and crocheting hats for cancer patients and newborns at the local hospitals. She was active with 4-H for many years and attended Mullen Memorial Baptist Church. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan Hunter and husband Bill of North Carolina and Sharon McComas and husband Paul Joseph of Florida; son-in-law, John Lorentz and wife Bonnie of Belpre; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Earl Lee Taylor Finfrock; daughter, Mary Lorentz; twin sister, Mary June Baker Martin; and paternal grandmother who raised her, Nillie Mae Hooper Baker.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Mullen Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Kent Lowther officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery of Belpre. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre, and from 1-2 p.m. Sunday prior to the service at the church.
