Frederick Allen Smith, 62, of West Union, W.Va., departed this life on Oct. 27, 2012, at his residence.
He was born June 16, 1950, at Clarksburg, W.Va., a son of the late Basil Smith and Shirley Maxwell Miller.
Fred was the owner and operator of Eagle Smith Golf Advertising, West Union, W.Va. He was a member of the North Bend Golf Course, Harrisville, W.Va., and the Clarksburg Moose Lodge.
Fred is survived by his wife, Dianna Lynn Smith; children, Ernest Smith, Amanda "Mandy" Smith, Christian "Ralph" Hilkey and Kara Smith, all of West Union, W.Va.; brothers and sisters, Sherri Rock of Clarksburg, W.Va., Janie Daughtery of Charleston, W.Va., Steven Smith of Poca, W.Va., and Sheena Smith of Clarksburg, W.Va.; half brothers, John Paul Smith of Clendenin, W.Va., and Basil Eugene Smith of Elkview, W.Va.; and grandchildren, Jasmine America, Hunter America, Jaydah Smith, Addison Smith and Mylee Smith.
In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Bonnell.
Memorial services will be 6 p.m. Friday at the Doddridge County Senior Citizens, West Union, W.Va.
