Robert Daniel "Bob" McFee, 65, of Elizabeth, passed away at home Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, after an extended illness.
He was a 1968 graduate of Wirt County High School. Bob served his country in the U.S. Army, and served 13 months in Vietnam from 1968-1969. He was awarded several medals for his excellent service. Bob was an avid outdoorsman and an excellent hunter. He loved spending time with his three grandchildren. He was the son of the late Warren and Julia Anyce McFee.
Bob is survived by his wife of 28 years, Virginia (Gates); two daughters, Amanda (Blake) Ritchie of Mineral Wells and Robin McFee of Elizabeth; grandchildren, Lacy and Jocelyn Ritchie and Johnathon Gabbert; two sisters, Anyce Luella (James) Grubbs and Wanda (Kenneth) Brogdon; brother, Ronald (Lana) McFee; and several nieces and nephews.
A tribute to Bob's life will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Bush Kimes Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the K of P Cemetery, with military rites by the U.S. Army. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
