Sue A. Smearman, 68, of Parkersburg, W.Va., died Oct. 6, 2012, at Ohio State University Hospital.
She was born in Steubenville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Ershel and Mayme Davis Westfall.
She was a Methodist by faith and was employed by the Wood County Board of Education for 25 years.
She is survived by her son, Thomas "Mike" Smearman of Vienna; two daughters, Deloris "Dee Dee" Carpenter and Rhonda Smearman, both of Parkersburg; four grandchildren, Joseph Carpenter, Justin Uhl, Aaron Carpenter and Grace Smearman; and two great-grandchildren, Noah Carpenter and Clayton Dye.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Westfall.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. today at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Following the visitation, Leavitt Funeral Home will provide cremation services.
