Black Walnut Festival slated

SPENCER - The 58th annual West Virginia Black Walnut Festival will be held Oct. 10-14 in Spencer, W.Va.

The festival will feature five days of food, entertainment, activities and attractions, including the annual Grand Parade at noon on Oct. 13 on Main Street in Spencer.

Live entertainers during the festival will include Dave McCormick, Taylor Sams, Cruz Perrine, John Richards, Cross Fire, Sharp Shooter, Plan B, Mat Enik, Lester McCumbers, Johnnie Staats, Dixie Highway, RB3 and Ryan Cain Ables. Wednesday

* 9 a.m.-5 p.m.: Spencer Antique Mall (Main Street across from Courthouse)

* 11 a.m.-8 p.m.: Food Court (Courthouse Square)

* 6- 8 p.m.: Agriculture, 4-H, FFA and Flower Show exhibit entries accepted (Community Building)

* 6-10 p.m.: Carnival (Parking Plaza)

Thursday

* 8-10 a.m.: Black Walnut Sweepstakes entries accepted (Community Building)

* 8 a.m.-noon: Agriculture, 4-H, FFA & Flower Show exhibit entries accepted (Community Building)

* 8 a.m.-5 p.m.: Information booth open (Courthouse Square)

* 9 a.m-6 p.m.: Craft Show, Art and Photo Show and Flea Market (National Guard Armory); Quilt Show (Chandler Building)

* 9 a.m.-5 p.m.: Spencer Antique Mall (Main Street across from Courthouse)
