To rebut Fred O'Neill's rebuttal in the Sept. 30 edition. The first Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty was signed by President Bush and Mikhail Gorbachev on July 31,1996. Anything else was merely a spinoff of this treaty.
As for restoring an American foreign policy, does this mean that he applauds the many times that President Obama has apologized to foreign countries for things America was not guilty of? Does he actually applaud him apologizing to some of the same countries that Americans have fought, bled and died to liberate? Does he not realize that America is the laughing stock of the world because of these stupid acts of the leader of the once greatest country in the world? I say once greatest country because since then he has taken us down to near Third World country level.
He can knock Mitt Romney's foreign policy experience but never utter a word about our current president's experience. If he cares to remember, Barack Obama had less than a half page of political resume when he was elected president. That is, unless you care to include community organizer and association with Bill Ayers, a convicted terrorist. (Obama's senate acceptance party was held at William Ayers home, yet he denied knowing Bill Ayers when he was campaigning for president).
As to his promise to end both wars in the Middle East, I believe he did this because of his undying love for Muslims. It is documented that a total of 4,487 American troops were killed in Iraq, while over 100,000 Iraqis met Allah. Did he not say in his book, Audacity of Hope; "I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction"?
I believe he should try and find other sources of information other than the biased, Democrat-controlled mainstream media. It's a faint possibility that he might be surprised at what he finds.
