Parkersburg News and Sentinel

PAKERSBURG - A woman accused of identity theft is the Warrant of the Week from the Parkersburg Police Department.

Detectives are looking for Karen Sue Johnson, 40, 571 Fifth St., Parkersburg, on two felony counts of identity theft, Sgt. Greg Collins said.

Criminal complaints filed in Wood County Magistrate Court allege about Dec. 6, 2007, and Oct. 22, 2008, Johnson used a victim's personal information without her knowledge or permission to obtain gas service at her residence on Fifth Street. The victim only learned of the fraudulent accounts when she attempted to open gas service in her name in August, finding more than $1,000 was due for non-payment on her account.
