As we approach this upcoming election it is important that we take a close look at some of the real issues. To name a few, same-sex marriage, removing reference to God in many cases, such as classrooms in schools, public graduations, public buildings, some even want to remove the phrase "under God" from the pledge of allegiance.
We provide every possible resource to find a lost child which in all cases should be done. In the case of abortion we look the other way. There is also a movement to teach alternate lifestyles in schools. Maybe we should also look at the influence of television shows.
Now is the time to consider some of the issues, the U.S. Supreme Court and the appointments that will be made in the near future and their long-lasting effects. I respect the office of the president, but I do not respect some of the decisions being made by the person now holding the office. Why does this matter? Consider this, three and a half years ago our president says one man and one woman constitutes a marriage. Not now, what changed, could it be to gain votes?
National health care, unemployment, national debt, welfare, food stamps, budget, these are all important issues, but what has been done in the last three and a half years? All of these issues except national health care, which has not yet been fully implemented, have increased.
Now a little bit of history, every great nation, that has throughout history left God, began to decline. If you profess to be Christian, no matter what faith, you should prayerfully consider your vote in November.
