Colin R. ‘Duck’ Waldeck

Colin Robert "Duck" Waldeck, 68, of Mineral Wells, W.Va., passed away on Sept. 24, 2012, at his residence.

He was born Oct. 19, 1943, in West Virginia, a son of the late Orlin F. and Ocie P. Greathouse Waldeck.

Duck was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and retired as a brake press operator at Kardex. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and working with his hands.

He is survived by his wife, Diana L. Barr Waldeck; two daughters, Jocie Waldeck of Mineral Wells and Christy Conley of Reedy, W.Va.; three grandchildren, Emily Copen, Jayden Copen and Kayla Duesenberry; and his dog, "Bo."

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike Street, south Parkersburg, with Jim Lynch officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
