PARKERSBURG - James David Andrews II, 34, 1601 Spring St., Parkersburg, was arrested on a charge of illegal possession of a firearm.
On Sept. 22 at 2:30 a.m., officers responded to Uncle Mike's Bar, 706 Seventh St.,, in reference to a man with a gun. The officers spoke to witnesses and the alleged victim who stated Andrews pointed a pistol at him. Andrews was taken into custody and charged with brandishing a firearm after officers located a black, High Point 9mm pistol.
A check of Andrews' criminal history revealed he was convicted of domestic battery in Washington County in 1996 and is prohibited from possessing a firearm.
Andrews was arraigned in Wood County Magistrate Court and released on a $2,000 bond.
