Harry Lee Clayton Jr., 92, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away on Sept. 23, 2012, at The Willows Center.
He was born March 25, 1920 in Cairo, W.Va., a son of the late Harry L. and Ethel Merritt Clayton Sr. Harry was a longtime member of the National Rifle Association.
He is survived by two daughters, Rita Morrell of Las Vegas, Nev. and Cindy (Bill) Hess of Parkersburg; three sons, John (Cherryle) of Pickens, S.C., Michael (Stephanie) Clayton of Lubeck, W.Va. and Byron Clayton of Marietta, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary McClung and Geneva Ahart; and one brother, Charles Clayton.
Harry's body has been donated to the West Virginia University Gift Registry and there will be no visitation or services.
Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike Street, south Parkersburg, will be assisting the family with arrangements.
