Charles H. Curfman, 70, of Washington and California, passed away on July 22, 2012.
He was born on July 20, 1942 in Parkersburg, W.Va., to his late parents Charles W. Curfman and Doris C. Curfman. He started in the U.S. Air Force and then moved to California where his main career was working as a loan officer and appraiser for Great Western Bank. Later he worked for the Home Depot where he led many community improvement projects. He was an avid golfer, a friend to many, husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his current wife, Betty Curfman; sister, Shirley Ocheltree of Ohio; previous wife, Andra Curfman of West Virginia; three sons, Todd, Greg and Shane Curfman of California and Washington; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren of California, Washington, Utah and Arizona.
A memorial service will be held at Maple Leaf Cemetery, 1961 NE 16th Ave., Oak Harbor, WA 98277, 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, with Friend and Pastor Cliff Horr of San De Fuca Community Chapel officiating the service.
