PARKERSBURG - The organizers of the Downtown Farmers' Marketplace will survey patrons about the 2012 season that will come to an end in October.
The survey will be available at the market at Bicentennial Park adjacent to the courthouse and the city building on Friday and online at www.parkersburgfarmersmarket.com. Everyone who takes the survey will be entered into a raffle to win a $50 gift card to the market and can be redeemed this season or at the Winter Market later this fall at dates and times to be announced later.
"It's important to know what customers want to see. It's their Farmers' Market," said Rickie Yeager, planning administrator for the city of Parkersburg. "The survey should take less than 5 minutes to complete."
Only those patrons who answer every question will be entered into the raffle. The winner will be announced on Tuesday on the market's Facebook page.
"This is the first time organizers have surveyed patrons since the Market started in 2008," said Ann Conageski, development director for the city of Parkersburg. "We're looking forward to analyzing the results."
The market is working with the students in the Executive MBA program at West Virginia University on the survey. The online survey can be completed through Friday and surveys will not be accepted after midnight Friday.
"We need to give students at WVU time to process the surveys," Conageski said.
Results will be presented to the Downtown Development Taskforce in October, Conageski said.
