CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Glenville State's offense never got in gear here Thursday night inside Finley Stadium as the Pioneers suffered a 35-0 road defeat to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

The Mocs (1-2) scored on their first three drives of the game and that included starting with the ball at the GSC 49, 42 and 36 yard lines. Terrell Robinson's 44-yard touchdown catch from Jacob Huesman and Nick Pollard's extra point attempt with 13:14 left in the opening quarter put the hosts ahead for good.

Huesman, who hit 16 of 26 passes for 210 yards and was picked off once by Terry Reese in the end zone, hit tight end Faysal Shafaat on a 10-yard scoring strike with 8:04 left in the first for a 14-0 advantage.

UTC's first score came after a Pioneer fumble and Keon Williams' 1-yard plunge put GSC in a 21-0 hole with 3:45 still left in the opening quarter.

Glenville State, which returns to action at 7 p.m. next Friday with a road trip to Missouri to face off against Lindenwood, amassed just 78 total yards and managed only five first downs. The Mocs rolled up 31 first downs and 477 total yards of offense.

Marquis Green, who led all rushers with 56 stripes, scored from the 5 at 4:37 of the third after teammate Wes Dothard picked off Pioneer signal-caller Darold Hughes to make it 28-0. Hughes connected on 13 of 23 passes for 61 yards on a night when the G-men rushed 21 times for 17 yards.
