Anna Madeline "Madge" Davis, 89, of Parkersburg, passed away Sept. 7, 2012, at Eagle Pointe Nursing Home.
She was born Feb. 21, 1923 in Mannington, W.Va., daughter of the late Charles R. and Georgia E. Sargent Longstreth. She had worked at Dils Department Store. She enjoyed cross stitching and traveling, and was a member of North End Church of Christ.
Madge is survived by her husband of 72 years, Harold Davis; two daughters, Theresa "Terry" Phares (Okey) of Parkersburg and Sandra Sandusky of Vienna; a son, Michael Davis (Holly) of Ashburn, Va.; grandchildren, Jeff A. Phares, John D. Phares, James R. Buskirk Jr., Gregory A. Buskirk, Lisa A. Barnes, Kathryn Sandusky, Zack Davis and Kristen Hand; and numerous great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sally Jo Davis.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at North End Church of Christ, with Wirt Cook, Gene Conger and Bob Cameron officiating. Burial will follow at Parkersburg Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St., Parkersburg, W.Va., and one hour prior to services Friday at the church.
