Lately there have been many letters about marriage with frequent references to Bible scriptures. These letter writers justify marriage restrictions based on these biblical verses. Here is a quote from Jesus (Mathew 19:9) that I don't believe I have read in any of these letters: "I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, and marries another woman commits adultery."
Interestingly, I am unaware of any local, state or national effort to pass laws to prohibit such remarriage.
