Let God provide for our needs

What has the Christian become? Is the "modern Christian" actually Christ-like? We sit and argue over what church is right, our stance on homosexuality and the big one: who should we vote for. We are so religious but don't rely on our Savior. Paul tells us in a letter to Cornith that God is not the author of confusion. Then why is the Christian stance so scrambled?

God does not hate homosexuals, and neither do I. We are all born into sin, folks, it's just a matter of whether or not we accept God's free gift of salvation and allow God to turn us from our wicked ways. Quit allowing the body to spout messages of hate and begin to seek God's direction. All those who truly are saved by the grace of God need to find their strength in him as well. This brings me to politics.

Why do we put so much trust in our elected officials? Psalm 118:9 tells us to put trust in God, not in princes. Why do we look for the government to supply our needs when we have an able and willing God that can do this for us? Seek and you shall find. Until we do nothing gets fixed. God is our peace and our provider.

I encourage you not to get caught up in media hype, elections, or political stances. Get caught up in God's word. Truly devote yourselves to prayer and meditation of his word. Study and apply yourself and your answers will be revealed. No matter who is in office, God's blessings will be upon you if you stay true. Let His spirit speak for itself through you.
