MOOREFIELD - Adam Snyder sealed Moorefield's 42-35 victory here Saturday afternoon against Wirt County by intercepting Josh Trembly on the final play of the game.
The Yellow Jackets had built a 34-19 cushion 10 ticks into the fourth quarter after a Xavier Brown 34-yard touchdown run, but the Tigers stormed back to take their final lead of the contest at 35-34 following a pair of scoring drives.
Jake Linville had a 4-yard TD run at 8:34 of the fourth and after a Jon Cain interception the Tigers got a 21-yard touchdown pass from Trembly to Trent Hardbarger at the 7:32 mark. Trembly made both two-point conversion runs as the Tigers took a slim one point lead.
However, Michael Pultz bulled in from 2 yards out with less than a minute to go for his second score of the afternoon and Brown caught the conversion pass from Snyder to give the Yellow Jackets the final margin of victory.
Trembly hit on 14 of 22 passes for 315 yards. He was interecepted twice, but had three touchdown passes.
The other two came on a 25-yard strike to Cain, who had four catches for 98 yards, and a 55-yard bomb to Gavin Goodnight. Trembly also gave Wirt County, which visits St. Marys on Friday night, a 6-0 lead when he scored from 1 yard out at 8:59 of the first.

WHEELING - Chinelo Oparanozie rushed for more than 200 yards and his third touchdown of the night from 26 yards out followed by Brandon Whiteside's extra point with 4:57 left to play here Saturday night at Wheeling Island Stadium lifted Linsly to a 21-20 victory versus Magnolia.
The Blue Eagles, who play host to Williamstown at 7:30 p.m. Friday, led 6-0 at intermission after Stephen Rogalski scored on a 5-yard run.
Magnolia quarterback Tanner Hanna scored from 1 yard out in the middle of the third quarter and the visitors led 14-0 after Rogalski caught the two-point conversion pass.
However, Oparanozie tallied a 37-yard touchdown run to put the Cadets on the board.
Although Rogalski caught a 28-yard TD strike from Hannah just 51 ticks into the fourth to give the Blue Eagles a 20-7 cushion, Oparanozie raced 32 yards to paydirt with 9 minutes left and then got the game winner soon after that.
Rogalski's second TD reception gave him the school record at 26 as he passed former Blue Eagle great Kenny Fisher.
Magnolia freshman Kyle Ritz had 3 1/2 sacks, a forced fumble and a partially blocked punt in the losing effort.
