Susan Gracey Naylor of Parkersburg and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Duke of Williamstown announce the engagement of their son, Matthew Douglas Duke, to Emily Lauren Myers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Myers of Poca, W.Va.

The groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Duke of Williamstown and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Gracey of Parkersburg. The bride is the granddaughter of Nadine and the late Ken Myers of Elkview and Mr. and Mrs. Paris Stephens of Poca.

The bride-to-be is a 1998 graduate of Poca High School, a 2002 cum laude graduate of Concord University with a bachelor's degree in communication arts and a 2005 graduate of West Virginia University with a master's degree in integrated marketing communications. She is employed by Moroch as a senior communications specialist. She is an alumna of Delta Zeta Sorority, a member of the board of directors for the Ronald McDonald House of Southern West Virginia, Concord University Alumni Association Executive Council and serves as vice president of the Concord University Kanawha Valley Alumni Chapter.

The prospective bridegroom is a 1997 graduate of Parkersburg High School and a 2012 graduate of West Virginia University Institute of Technology with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. He is employed by CDI Corporation as a mechanical engineer. He is a member of Trout Unlimited and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

The couple reside in Cross Lanes, W.Va., and are members of Generation Charleston.

A wedding is planned for Sept. 8 at the Knotty Pine Lodge in Fraziers Bottom, W.Va.
