Bernard and Margaret Carpenter will celebrate their 65th anniversary on Aug. 1.
He is the son of the late Joseph Emory and Grace M. Carpenter.
He retired from Belpre Kaiser Aluminum Plant in 1983.

They have three children, Penny (John) Hall of Vincent, Mary (Jean) Yost of Cutler and Gene Carpenter of Veto.
They have seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
