Barbara and Herbert Parsons Jr. of Cutler will celebrate their 50th anniversary with family members over a weekend gathering.
They were married on June 16, 1962, by Rev. Guy White at his home in Guysville, Ohio.
She is the daughter of the late Carl and Josephine Male.

She retired as a school bus driver for Federal Hocking High School and volunteers at the Kilvert Community Center as the director.
He is the son of the late Herbert and Mary Ann Parsons.
He retired from the Athens Mental Heath Center Hospital as the supervisor of grounds and maintenance.
They enjoy volunteering in their community.
The couple have four children, Douglas (Michelle) Parsons of Stewart, Ohio, David (Angela) Parsons of Belpre, Donna (John) Carter of Racine, Wisc., and Debora (Kevin) Mayle of Cutler.
They have eight grandchildren, Shannon and Shawn Parsons, Douglas (Michelle) Parsons II, Channing and Shawntell Parsons, Kayla and Maya Carter, and Kevin Mayle Jr.
They have one great-granddaughter, Shalynn Parsons.
