PARKERSBURG - A domestic disturbance Saturday on Dickel Avenue resulted in the arrest of four members of the same family.
Two Parkersburg police officers responded to 824 Dickel Ave. Saturday around 4:45 a.m. and found Dexter Marks Jr. screaming at his mother and refusing to comply with officers, police said. While trying to take him into custody, another family member Vicy Marks grabbed Officer J.M. Cumpston to prevent the arrest, said Sgt. Greg Collins, spokesman for the Parkersburg Police Department.
Officer K.M. Day became involved in an altercation with Vicy Marks as he pulled her off Cumpston. A third member of the family Debbie Marks grabbed Day from behind, police said.

Several officers on the midnight shift arrived to provide backup, and the four family members were taken into custody and transported to the Wood County Holding Center.
Dexter Marks Sr. and Dexter Marks Jr. were charged with obstructing and released on $500 bonds. Vicy and Debbie Marks were each charged with obstructing and two counts of battery of a police officer and released on $2,500 bonds.
