I have always enjoyed reading the letters to the editor. I have often thought about writing one. This is my attempt to fulfill that dream.
President Obama stated America is no longer a Christian nation. My advice is we as a nation repent and turn back to God. The Bible states if only the Christians would do this, he would heal our land. II Chronicles 7:14. If we as a people would repent and turn to God the following would happen.
We would have no further need to discuss abortion because as true followers of Christ we would do what Jesus would do. I know him he would not cut a little unborn baby in pieces and call it pro choice. Our problem is we try to put fancy names on things. Jesus would call it what it is: Murder.
We would not have to discuss "gay marriage" because Jesus would say to the couple the same thing he said to the woman caught in adultery: "Neither do I condemn you, go and sin no more." (John 8: 3-11). Sin is a word that has almost been removed from vocabularies but we need to turn from sin.
We would not have to worry about unemployment, II Thessalonians 3: 10: "If a man will not work, he shall not eat." You can take care of your family in a $60,000 home as well as a $560,000 home. Every member of your family does not need a cell phone, a TV in their room, a car, etc. You can understand what I am suggesting. I want people to have good jobs. However, if those are not available we must do what we must do. Like it or not, we are in a world-wide economy and those individuals with the best training and education will land the best jobs.
I know some readers are laughing, to them I would say read the following scriptures: Romans 1:18-25; Isaiah 45: 23; Romans, 14:11-12; and Philippians 2:10-11.
If you are laughing, there are two things I would like to say. Jesus loves you and will save you if you repent and seek him, and the Bible you are laughing at was here before you came along and it will be here when you are gone.
May God bless America again. He will if we do our part.
