Joyful Aires Quartet to perform

Joyful Aires Quartet will have worship service at 10:45 a.m. today at the Pennsville United Methodist Church. Everyone is invited to attend. Potluck will follow.

Pennsville Township Alumni Banquet will be held with dinner at 5:30 p.m. May 26 at the fellowship room at the Pennsville United Methodist.

Memorial Day Services will be held on May 27 at 1:30 p.m. to meet at the Pennsville United Methodist Church and go to the cemetery and return to the church for the program. There will be a speaker.

Pennsville Firemen's Festival will be held June 16. Watch for more details in the coming weeks. Princess contestants are Daisy Donnaley, Maleik Hanning, Terri Rayburn, Audri Waits, Tshay Stevens, Samantha Butts.

Pennsville United Methodist Women met May 3 at the fellowship room. Margaret Dougan presented the program "The Parable of the Good Samaritan." Rita Martin gave prayer for the five missionaries. Shirley Timberman gave Response Moment, "Think" and "Did you eat today? Thank a farm worker." Joyce Wentland read April minutes in Becky Martin's absence.Don't forget to get the Health Kits to be taken to West Ohio Methodist Conference in early June, which Rita Martin will be taking them. This is a project the churches are asked to do. Sent one card. The next meeting of the Women will be June 7 at 7 p.m. at the church.

Christian Motorcycle Association were at Pennsville United Methodist Church on May 6 at the worship service in the morning. The service was very interesting and enjoyable. Potluck followed and was enjoyed by all.

Rita Martin went to visit her brother, Eugene and wife, Marge Wilson. Marge broke her hip in March and is doing well. Rita had supper with Mark and Michele Wilson and their daughter, Teagan at a restaurant in Kokomo, Ind., for a Mother's Day celebratiion on Friday evening.

Saturday visitors at the home of Mary Yerian of Glouster were John and Gloria Smith of Orlando, Fla.; Eric and Lisa Hobbs and two sons of Cincinnati; John's father George Smith was Mary Yerian's and Mae Milhoan's first cousin. They came to this area to visit the Maplewood Cemetery as John's brother, father, grandparents, aunts and uncles and various cousins are all buried in the Maplewood Cemetery.

Visitors with Mary Yerian of this week Jim and his son, Mike Yerian of Athens, and Patsy Hanna of Glouster.

On Wednesday, Mae Milhoan and Beverly Sidwell went shopping in McConnelsville and out to lunch. On Thursday Mae received a large package from Shelly Mason of Lubbock, Texas. The package was filled with Mother's Day gifts.

Bev and Rob Sidwell went to Zanesville to see the movie Avengers. Rob liked the movie, but Bev wasn't as enthusiastic.
