Harold and Shirley Lockhart celebrated their 50th anniversary on May 4.
They were married May 4, 1962, at Grace Brethern Church in Parkersburg. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Richard Placeway.
She is the daughter of the late Clarence C. and Evelyn Amos Dowler. She worked at C&P Telephone and the Wood County Sheriff's Tax office as a tax deputy, retiring in 2010. He is the son of the late Oscar C. Lockhart and Dorcas E. Windland Godbey. He retired from Dupont Washington Works in 1999 as a supervisor with more than 36 years of service.

They are the parents of four children, Beth Ann (Brad) Buchman of Parkersburg, Sherry Lynn (Mark) Farnsworth of Phillipi, W.Va., Harold Ray "H.R." Jr. (Jodi) Lockhart and Lori Diane Lockhart, of Parkersburg.
They have eight grandchildren, Lauren, Emily, Luke, Abigail, John, Mathew, Marcus and Allie.
