Tara Nichole Collins and Jordan Leon Swiger were united in marriage on March 10 at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church in Mineral Wells, with Pastor Brian Seders of Clarksburg officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Allen and Kelly Collins of Parkersburg. She is the granddaughter of Carolyn and Rick Keller of Washington, Charlie and Linda Detamore of Rockport, Allen Collins of Parkersburg and Jennie Crist of Parkersburg. She is a 2007 graduate of Parkersburg South High School and a 2012 graduate of Glenville State College where she majored in early education and elementary education.

The groom is the son of Russ Swiger and Sherry Smith of Clarksburg. He is the grandson of Mary Ann McDaniel of Clarksburg and the late Charles McDaniel and the late Bonard and Anna Swiger of Clarksburg. He is a 2008 graduate of Robert C. Byrd High School and is a student at Glenville State College.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted down the aisle by her father. The bride wore an ivory gown trimmed in elaborate beading with a bow on the side of the dress. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of cream roses.

The matron of honor was Kyla Collins of Parkersburg, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Sarah Harvey of Washington, Kimberly Stephens of Mineral Wells, Kaitlin Townsend of Mineral Wells, Deanna Cline of Parkersburg, Nicole Himes of Jefferson and Miranda Reed of Hedgesville. They wore strapless knee-length black dresses and carried hand-tied bouquets of cream roses wrapped in royal blue satin ribbon.

Serving as best man was Russ Swiger, father of the groom. Groomsmen were Cody Glimore of Clarksburg, Max Bauburn of Tampa, Antwan Stewart of Washington, D.C., Zak Preston of Clarksburg, Mark Sprouse of Salem and Dave Sowell of Hedgesville. Garett Detamore of Rockport, cousin of the bride, and Jimmy and Jonathon Allison of Clarksburg, cousins of the groom, served as ushers. The groomsmen wore black slacks with sliver shirts with royal blue skinny ties.

The ring bearer was Josiah Swiger, son of the bride and groom. He carried a white handmade pillow with royal blue and silver ribbon.

Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the West Virginia Interstate Fairgrounds.

The couple plan on taking a European honeymoon.
