Marc and Tammy Roberts of Charleston announce the engagement of their daughter, Emiley Joan, to Shawn Schoolcraft, the son of the late Bernard and Jean Ann Schoolcraft of Clendenin.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Joan Roberts of Parkersburg and the late Clarence "Beef" Roberts. She is a graduate of George Washington High School in Charleston. She attended Marshall University and graduated from West Virginia State University with a bachelor's degree in communications. She is employed with the West Virginia State Police.
The prospective bridegroom is a graduate of Herbert Hoover High School in Elkview. He attended Marshall University and graduated from West Virginia State University. He is a sergeant in the West Virginia State Police and deputy director of traffic records at state headquarters.
