She is a 1992 graduate of Clover Hill High School in Midlothian, Va. and attended Richmond Technical Center where she received a dental technician certification.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Edward and Debra Layman of Washington. He is the grandson of Anna Taylor Wright and the late Lewis C. Wright of Parkersburg and the late Granville and Lula Jenkins Layman of Walker.
He is the father of Noah Aaron Layman. He is a 1991 graduate of Parkersburg South High School and Newport News Shipbuilding Apprentice School and John Tyler Community College. He is employed as the assistant maintenance manager at Metlspan LLC of Prince George, Va.
A wedding is planned for June 2 at the historical Beacon Theatre in Hopewell, Va.
