Trustees to meet Wednesday

Penn Township trustees will meet at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the town hall.

Pennsville United Methodist Women will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the fellowship room.

Christian Motorcycle Association will have the worship service at 10:50 a.m. May 6 at Pennsville United Methodist Church. Potluck meal to follow the service.

Butch and Patty Bowen of Erie, Pa., and Betty Ray were Saturday dinner guests at the home of Leo and Dorothy and Jacqueline Clark.

Ralph Hill, son of Duane and Sherri Hill of our area, was awarded the Sons of American Revolution Fire Safety Commendation Medal for accomplishments and/or outstanding contributions in the area of fire safety and service. He is the fire chief and EMS chief for the Crooksville Fire Department.

On Monday, guests of Mary Yerian of Glouster were Sally Gardener of Athens, Tommy and Sue Ann Rhinehart of Gates, N.C. They were here to celebrate the Rhinehart's twin grandsons. In the afternoon Patsy Hanna of Glouster visited Mary.

On Saturday Jeff and Mya Yerian of Lancaster came down to hunt turkeys at their country cabin.

They visited with their grandmother and had supper with her.

Mae received word her sister, Connie Wallace of Somerset, is very ill and is in a care center at Newark.

On Friday, Bev Sidwell went to Kent State to see her son Rob and to attend a ball game on Friday and Saturday.

Mae Milhoan received word from her nephew, Dr. John Schnecker, they welcomed their new son on Monday. His name is Gavin Paul and he weighted 9 pounds 1 ounce. He and his mother Laura returned home on Wednesday. The family lives in Indianapolis, Ind., where Joe is a physician. The family also includes three daughters. Joan Chapman is the great-grandmother and Mary Yerian and Mae Milhoan are great-great aunts.

Mae received word of Bob Schnecker that he's been receiving treatments for his back and will have surgery shortly. Please keep him in your prayers.
