Robert and Valerie Merry of Gallipolis, Ohio, announce the engagement of their daughter, Bridget Rochelle Merry, to Zachary Thomas Waite, son of Joseph and Darla Waite of Stockport.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Seaford and Bonnie Jordan of Thurman, Ohio, and William and Janet Merry of Thurman. She is a 2006 graduate of Gallia Academy High School and graduated magna cum laude from Ohio University in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and a minor in mathematics. She is an electrical design engineer at Thorson Baker & Associates in Richfield, Ohio.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Donald and Janet Holland of Stockport and the late Clarence "Bill" and late Alice Waite of Stockport. He is a 2005 graduate of Morgan High School and graduated cum laude from Ohio University in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. He is a bridge engineer at HNTB Corp. in Cleveland.
