Colston—Linton

Doris Jean Colston and Blaze Landon Linton exchanged wedding vows on Jan. 14 at the Bexley Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Columbus. Keith Bartimus of Crown City, Ohio, delivered the wedding talk and officiated the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Janet Colston of San Antonio, Texas, and the late Wilbur Colston of Chicago, Ill. She is the granddaughter of Willa Kenney of Akron and the late Warren Kenney and Doris Colston of Oklahoma City, Okla., and the late Wilbert Colston.

The bridegroom is the son of Jess and Tamara Linton of Coolville. He is the grandson of Thelma Linton of Coolville and the late Richard B. Linton, and Archie and Shirley Curry of Waterford.

Escorted by friend of the amily Joel Jones of Washington, D.C., the bride wore a white silk taffeta strapless dress with a sweetheart neckline and asymmetrical pleats below the empire waistline, which then flowed into a chapel train.

Her upswept hair was adorned with a navy flower clip, and she carried a lace-wrapped posey bouquet of cloth flowers in shades of blue and white, accented with lace.

Matron of honor was Telecia Wilson of Stockbridge, Ga., cousin of the bride, and maid of honor was Bethany Mitchell of Pittsburgh, Pa., friend of the bride.

Bridesmaids were Vickie Jones of Washington, D.C., friend of the bride, and Jesta Stanley of Newark, Ohio, sister of the groom. They wore matching royal blue, tea-length strapless dresses and carried smaller versions of the bride's bouquet.

Best man was Shawn Barnhart of Pomeroy, Ohio, and friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Jeremy Phoenix of Charleston, friend of the groom, Mike Muhn of Columbus, friend of the groom, and Mitchell Stanley of Newark, brother-in-law of the groom. They all wore matching taupe suits with ties in shades of blue. Their boutonnieres consisted of taupe and teal feathers, accented with bamboo spirals.

The dinner and dance reception was held at The Loft in Columbus with Reza Almzadeh of Athens presiding. The white diamond-shaped wedding cake, topped with snowflakes in shades of blue, was provided by Bruce and Carol Westfall of Glouster, Ohio, friends of the couple.

The bride is a 2000 graduate of Akron's East High School, a 2004 graduate of Ohio University with a bachelor's degree in business communication and marketing and a 2005 graduate of Carnegie Mellon University with a master's degree in health care policy and management.

The bridegroom is a 2003 graduate of Federal Hocking High School and attended Ohio University. He is employed by Lanning Mechanical of Guysville, Ohio.

Following a trip to Timberlake Cabins in Logan, Ohio, and a honeymoon in the Dominican Republic, the couple resides in Athens.
