The bride-to-be is the daughter of Jim Combs of Brooklyn, Conn., and Debbie Combs of Preston, Conn. She is the granddaughter of Don and Nancy Long of Geneva, N.Y. She is a 2005 graduate of Norwich Free Academy and a 2010 graduate of Eastern Connecticut University with a bachelor's degree in communications. She is employed by Clear Channel Communications in Hartford, Conn., as a production assistant .
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Paul and Susan Meeks of Little Hocking.
