SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) - Brooke Hampton made two free throws with 4.6 seconds remaining and West Virginia beat No. 2 Notre Dame 65-63 on Sunday, snapping the Irish's 21-game winning streak.
Asya Bussie had 22 points, including a turnaround jumper with 39 seconds to go that tied the game at 63, for West Virginia (18-6, 8-3 Big East).
Skyler Diggins had 32 points for Notre Dame (24-2, 11-1), who came into the game leading the nation at 83.2 points per game.
Diggins missed a contested layup that could have tied the score with less than 10 seconds to play. She fouled Hampton at midcourt as she went for a steal with 4.6 seconds to go.
Hampton then made the free throws that gave her four points for the game - all from the line.
Natalie Novosel of Notre Dame missed a 15-foot jumper at the buzzer.

No. 10 Ohio State 80,
No. 16 Purdue 71
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Samantha Prahalis hit a 3-pointer from the right wing with 41 seconds left, giving No. 10 Ohio State the boost it needed to hold off No. 16 Purdue 80-71 Sunday, turning the Big Ten race into a four-team logjam.
Prahalis scored 26 points with Amber Stokes adding 14, Ashley Adams 13 and conference scoring leader Tayler Hill 12. The Buckeyes finished with a 7-0 run.
Ohio State (22-3, 9-3) finds itself tied with Purdue, Penn State and Nebraska - all with three losses in the Big Ten.
Brittany Rayburn had 22 points and Sam Ostarello 12 for the Boilermakers (19-6, 9-3).
With the Buckeyes hanging on to a two-point lead, Prahalis' 3 gave them some breathing room and touched off the late uprising.
ECU 61, Marshall 57
GREENVILLE, N.C. -Despite jumping to a 10-point lead early in the first half, Marshall struggled in the second half on Sunday afternoon to lose to ECU on the road, 61-57.
Marshall dropped to 13-11 (4-7 C-USA) with the loss and now holds a three-game losing streak. ECU improved to 7-17 (1-10 C-USA) with the victory, earning its first league win and breaking a 14-game losing streak.
Alaya Mitchell and Shay Weaver led the Herd with double-digit point totals. Mitchell had a team-high 15 points, while Weaver marked 13 points and accounted for all of Marshall's three-pointers (3).
The Herd earned 18 points from the free throw line after only missing three free throw attempts and posted an 85.7 percent average from the stripe.
Defensively, Marshall recorded 10 steals, compared to ECU's five and also had fewer turnovers. However, Marshall's defense was unable to contain the ECU offense in the second half as the Pirates went 14-for-29 from the field for just under a 50.0 percent average.
