Mark Edward Hendershot and Emily Anne Bonnette were united in marriage Aug. 27, 2011, at Bethel Lighthouse Church in Marietta. Pastor Kevin Gutberlet officiated the ceremony and the Rev. Karl Kesselring also played a special role in the wedding.
The bride is the daughter of Roger and Kathy Bonnette of Marietta. She is the granddaughter of Estelle Starkey and the late Carylos Starkey of Belpre and the late Virgil and Lorraine Bonnette of Marietta.
The groom is the son of Gary and Vickie Hendershot of Marietta. He is the grandson of Ruby Hendershot of Marietta and the late Donald Hendershot and Alvin and Jean Ludwig of Devola.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. She wore her mother's wedding dress and her grandmother Estelle's pearls. The bride carried a bouquet of yellow daisies and white lilies. All of the wedding flowers were a gift from the bride's aunt, Jeanette Bonnette Starkey.
Maid of honor was Melanie Hendershot, sister of the groom. Bridesmaids were Jocelyn Hennon, Whitney Swain and Karissa Brown, future sister-in-law of the bride. They all wore yellow sundresses and carried bouquets of wildflowers. Flower girls were Taylor Starkey, cousin of bride, and Mattie Hendershot, niece of groom.
Best man was Matt Hendershot, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Ethan Bonnette, brother of the bride; Joey Gibb, cousin of the groom; and Corey Richards. Ring bearer was Braun Doak, cousin of the bride.
Special guitar and vocals were provided by the groom and the Rev. Karl Kesselring. They sang the bride's favorite hymn before she walked down the aisle. Piano music was played by Amy Saho, sister of the groom. Hannah and Sarah Saho,nieces of the groom, registered the guests.
A reception dinner was held at the Bethel Lighthouse Church following the ceremony, provided by the ladies of the church.
There were three cakes: a traditional three-layer white cake with blue and yellow flowers, and a bicycle and a guitar cake made for the bride and groom.
The bride is a 2007 graduate of Warren High School and a 2011 graduate of Otterbein University. She received a bachelor's degree in visual communications and photography.
She is employed by Marietta Memorial Hospital as a graphic designer.
The groom is a 2007 graduate of Warren High School and is attending Washington State Community College, studying industrial technology. He is employed by GP&S of Parkersburg.
After a honeymoon at New River Gorge the couple reside in Marietta.
