Harlow—Knotts

Casey Lynn Harlow and Justin Michael Knotts were united in a double-ring ceremony on Aug. 27 at Emmanuel Baptist Church. The ceremony was officiated by Pastor Mark Houser.

The bride is the daughter of Allen and Cathy Harlow of Washington and the granddaughter of Bill Kaufman, Joan Shaw and Mary and the late Okey Harlow, all of Parkersburg. She is a 2005 graduate of Parkersburg South High School and a 2009 graduate of West Virginia University with a degree in business and advertising. She is employed by Jan Dils law firm.

The groom is the son of Jeff Knotts and Lisa Knotts of Parkersburg and the grandson of Gary and Sandy Knotts and Shirley Hendricks, all of Parkersburg. He is a 2002 graduate of Parkersburg South High School and is employed by Matheny Motors.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted to the altar by her father.

The bride wore a gown of soft ivory satin adorned with a sweetheart neckline and a sunray of soft pleats over the bust that are followed with a pleated midriff accented with a band of Venise lace heavily beaded in seed pearls and crystals. The elegant skirt is accented with a ray of soft asymmetrical pleats throughout that continue to the corset back and chapel train. A beaded motif on her lower hip held a spray of pleats that dropped to the floor.

Her birdcage headpiece handmade by herself and her mother was made of ivory netting and adorned with ivory feathers and beading.

The diamond necklace that she wore was given to her by her maternal grandmother.

She carried a bouquet of ivory roses, carnations and baby's breath with the stems wrapped in ivory satin ribbon accented by a brooch of her late great-grandmother Montgomery.

Brittany Knapp of Belleville, friend of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Stevie Kaufman of Waunakee Wisc., cousin of the bride; Amber Lockhart of Parkersburg, friend of the bride; Sara Miller of Morgantown, friend of the bride; and Savannah Charlton of Parkersburg, friend of the bride. They wore black satin strapless knee length dresses accented with an ivory satin waist band, matching ivory pearl necklace and earrings given to them by the bride and carried of smaller version of the bride's bouquet with the stems wrapped in black satin.

The groom wore a black suit with white vest and white tie. Bryan Burdette of Parkersburg, friend of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Adam Harlow of Canonsburg Pa., friend of the groom and brother of the bride; Josh Knotts of Parkersburg, brother of the groom; Kris Howard of Kings Mountain, N.C., friend of the groom; and Adam Charlton of Parkersburg, friend of the bride and groom. The groomsmen wore black suits, vest and ties.

Following the ceremony, a reception with dinner and dance was held at the Parkersburg Art Center.

Following a honeymoon to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple resides in Parkersburg.
