PARKERSBURG - A man was arrested Monday for an August armed robbery where the robber demanded a purse and cell phone from a woman, Parkersburg police said.
Kameron Moore, 21, was arrested by Detective Mike Stalnaker at a campground in Walker where he had recently moved from Elizabeth, detective bureau spokesman Greg Nangle said.
The robbery occurred Aug. 27 in the parking lot at CVS Pharmacy at 19th Street and St. Marys Avenue, Nangle said. A woman in her car was approached by a man with a gun who demanded her purse and cell phone, Nangle said.
Later, another woman was robbed under similar circumstances in a car parked at Grand Dad's on Camden Avenue, Nangle said.
Moore also is a suspect in the second incident, Nangle said. He was charged with the first robbery; however, the second may be added later, Nangle said.
Moore was placed in the North Central Regional Jail in Doddridge County, awaiting arraignment before a circuit judge, Nangle said.
Nangle credited Stalnaker, as little information was available and the victim didn't know who the assailant was, Nangle said.
"This was a good arrest," Nangle said.
