Joe and Kay Bowser of Parkersburg celebrated their 50th anniversary on Sept. 30.
They were married on Sept. 30, 1961, at the First United Brethern Church in Parkersburg by the late Rev. Ray R. Shaffer.
She is the daughter of the late H.H. Allen and Sylvia Burton Allen. She was employed at Stone and Thomas before she retired.

He is the son of the late Kermit H. Bowser and Goldie Hatfield Bowser Perking.
He is retired from General Electric after 35 1/2 years of service.
They are the parents of one daughter, Stacey (Rick) Bowser Sopko of Viera, Fla. They are the grandparents of Madison Paige Sopko and have three step-granddaughters of Parma, Ohio.
The couple are members of the Baptist Temple.
They will celebrate with a trip at a later date.
