Ron and Judy Waters of Parkersburg will celebrate their 50th anniversary Sept. 30 with a private dinner for the immediate family.
Mr. Waters is the son of the late Charles and Lenna Waters, and Mrs. Waters is the daughter of the late Leonard and Jackie Craven. They were married on Sept. 29, 1961, at the Evangelical United Brethern Church in Parkersburg by the late Rev. C. Everett Ruble.
Mr. Waters served four years in the United States Navy and then returned to Parkersburg. He worked at E.I. DuPont Washington Works for 38 years, retiring in 2000.

Mrs. Waters worked at DuPont through Kelly Services for 13 years.
They are members of North Parkersburg Baptist Church where they are a deacon and deaconess.
They have four children, Dean Alan Waters of Parkersburg, Jennifer Lynn Smith of Marietta, Jason Charles Waters of Parkersburg and the late Todd Anthony Waters. They are the grandparents of Nicole Rae Smith, Casey Leigh Smith, Luke Alan Waters and Jordan Elizabeth Waters. They have one great-grandson, Aiden Cole Smith.
They are expecting another granddaughter in late December.
