Lowell "Gene" and Margaret Heldman of Marietta celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 10.
They were married Sept. 10, 1961, at Coburn United Methodist Church in Zanesville.
He is the son of the late Bernard and Miriam Heldman. She is the daughter of the late Elton and Verna Boykin.

They have three children, Lora (Jeff) Clark of Nashport, Ohio, Cheryl (Jim) Hostottle of Waverly, and Neil Heldman of Columbus. They have two grandsons, Ian Hostottle and Jacob A. Clark.
He continues to barber at Gene's Barber Center in Marietta, and she is a retired hairdresser.
